This past weekend, Sumisibol, the non-profit org where my husband is current Exec. Director, had a retreat with Board and staff.
What can I say? It was useful. It was tiring and irritating. It was rejuvenating. It was hard work. It was long overdue. It was important.
We rewrote the mission. Identified core values. Adopted work norms. Diagnosed various aspects of the group. Established some basic goals and immediate actions we need to take.
Big dreams require extraordinary commitment and work. That's for sure.
